Roots & Shoots Youth Visit RAWO: A Day of Learning and Inspiration
On a special day dedicated to learning, Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization (RAWO) welcomed the enthusiastic youth of Roots & Shoots Rwanda to share ideas on environmental conservation and deepen their knowledge of animal welfare.
The day was filled with meaningful exchanges. The Roots & Shoots youth shared their ongoing projects and creative ideas aimed at protecting Rwanda’s environment—highlighting tree planting, waste reduction, and sustainable community practices. Their passion and commitment reflected the growing movement of young environmental leaders making an impact across the country.
In turn, RAWO provided a training session on animal welfare, covering key topics such as humane treatment of animals, the role of animals in ecosystems, and the importance of compassion in promoting biodiversity and community well-being.
The event served as a two-way exchange—a platform where knowledge, experiences, and inspiration flowed freely. Both organizations reinforced the idea that environmental protection and animal welfare are interconnected, and that youth have a critical role in leading Rwanda toward a sustainable future.
As the day concluded, participants left empowered—ready to act as ambassadors for both the environment and animal welfare in their communities. RAWO is proud to partner with Roots & Shoots Rwanda in shaping a future where compassion, conservation, and leadership thrive hand in hand.
