RAWO is highly involved in Human Dog
Population Management (HDPM) in Rwanda

One of the key areas of RAWO’s intervention is “Dog population management humanely” and dogs are mostly affected by rabies. Getting dogs vaccinated is key for dogs’ health and human beings as well.

RAWO’s project intend to run census of domestic & stray dogs living in various districts districts of Rwanda. This project started with a pilot domestic census in eight sectors of Musanze district.

After the census, coordinated vaccination activities will follow in collaboration with Musanze district agriculture and livestock department and other potential partners as well.
