HUMANE EDUCATION PROGRAM
In our Humane Education, we are teaching young generation mainly students from primary schools about compassion, empathy, love, respect, kindness, and ethical responsibility towards animals, people, and the environment. By fostering those moral values and emotional intelligence, we aim to reduce the cruelty, mistreatment and negligence towards. animals. Through our education materials, we are emphasizing on the following topics
- Understanding animal welfare and Five Freedoms of animals
- Basics on animal husbandry and management
- Basics on animal behavior and their biology
- One Health Approach
- Wildlife conservation
- Environmental conservation
- Zoonotic diseases Management
- Climate change Mitigation
- Hygiene and Sanitation
- Art and soft skills
By the support of Animal Welfare Institute (AWI), we are working with 8 primary schools from Rwanda where we have established 8 Animal Welfare Clubs (AWC) in each school. Every club is guided by a trained mentor. Through these clubs, we have reached over 800 students who have become champions of animal welfare.
