Objectives

To use education and communication to engage local communities in understanding and promoting the Five Freedoms (Five Needs) of animals.

To work with key stakeholders to ensure that animal welfare is consistently considered in local, regional, and national decision-making processes.

To promote humane management of dog populations.

To contribute to the attainment of sustainable development through improved environmental conservation, public health, and the One Health approach.

To investigate the implications of technology and conduct timely research aimed at achieving improved wellbeing for both humans and animals.

Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization - RAWO
Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization (RAWO) is local Non Government Organization(NGO). RAWO is formally operating in Rwanda under Rwanda Governance Board(RGB) with Certificate of Legal Personality: No 788/RGB /NGO/LP/12/2021.
