Objectives

  • To use education and communication to engage local communities in understanding and promoting the Five Freedoms (Five Needs) of animals.

  • To work with key stakeholders to ensure that animal welfare is consistently considered in local, regional, and national decision-making processes.

  • To promote humane management of dog populations.

  • To contribute to the attainment of sustainable development through improved environmental conservation, public health, and the One Health approach.

  • To investigate the implications of technology and conduct timely research aimed at achieving improved wellbeing for both humans and animals.

Who are we

Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization - RAWO

Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization (RAWO) is local Non Government Organization(NGO). RAWO is formally operating in Rwanda under Rwanda Governance Board(RGB) with Certificate of Legal Personality: No 788/RGB /NGO/LP/12/2021.

OUR PRINCIPLES ARE FOUNDED ON 5 FREEDOM OF ANIMALS :
