Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization

Who We Are

Rwanda Animal Welfare Organization (RAWO) is a dedicated non-governmental organization committed to promoting the welfare and protection of animals throughout Rwanda. Founded with the belief that all animals deserve to live free from suffering and cruelty, RAWO works to raise awareness, educate communities, and advocate for policies that support compassionate and ethical treatment of animals. RAWO is legally registered under the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) with the Certificate of Legal Personality No. 788/RGB/NGO/LP/12/2021, and operates as a recognized national NGO focused on animal welfare and education.

To advance animal welfare in Rwanda by improving the well-being of animals and humans through education, community engagement, and advocacy.
